Welcome to ShopPetLane. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of shoppetlane.com (the “Site”) and any purchase you make through it. By browsing the Site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who we are

ShopPetLane is an online retailer of pet supplies that ships to customers in the United States. Throughout these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to ShopPetLane; “you” refers to the visitor or customer using the Site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your place of residence, to place an order. By using the Site you confirm that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Products and descriptions

We work with vetted supplier partners and make every effort to describe and photograph our products accurately. However:

• Product images are illustrative. Slight variations in colour, packaging or finish may occur between production batches.
• Measurements and dimensions are approximate and provided for guidance only.
• We do not warrant that product descriptions or other content on the Site are error-free. If a product you receive differs materially from its description, your remedy is to return it in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.

4. Pricing and currency

All prices are displayed in US Dollars (USD) and are subject to change without notice. The price charged is the price shown at the moment you complete checkout. Where a product is offered at a discounted price, the reference (“regular”) price is the price at which the product is ordinarily offered on the Site.

Shipping is free on every order; the cost of delivery is already included in the price you pay. Depending on your delivery country, import duties, sales taxes or value-added tax may be assessed by the authorities on arrival. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not collected or remitted by us. Please see our Shipping Policy for details.

5. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. We confirm receipt by email, but a contract of sale is only formed when we dispatch the goods. We may decline or cancel an order where:

• the product is out of stock or discontinued by our supplier;
• the delivery address cannot be served by our carriers;
• the order appears fraudulent, abusive or was placed in error;
• a pricing or product description error is discovered.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the full amount to your original payment method.

6. Payment

Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, PayPal. We do not receive or store your full card number or security code; card data is handled by the payment provider under its own terms and privacy policy. Orders are only prepared once payment has been authorised. We reserve the right to suspend or cancel orders that fail fraud or verification checks.

7. Shipping and delivery

Orders are handed to the carrier within 1–3 business days. Estimated transit times, carriers and the countries we serve are set out in our Shipping Policy. Delivery estimates are not guarantees. Title and risk in the goods pass to you on delivery to the address you supplied. Please ensure your address is complete and correct — we cannot redirect parcels once they are in transit.

8. Returns, refunds and cancellations

You may return most items within 30 days of delivery for a refund, provided they are unused and in their original packaging. The full procedure, exclusions and refund timescales are set out in our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights you may have under the consumer law of your country of residence.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable regulation;
• submit false or misleading information, or impersonate any person;
• interfere with, probe, scan or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site or its infrastructure;
• copy, scrape, resell or commercially exploit any part of the Site without our written permission;
• upload viruses or any other malicious code, or place an unreasonable load on our servers.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site if we reasonably believe you have breached this section.

10. Intellectual property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, page layouts, photographs and software — is owned by or licensed to ShopPetLane and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from it for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. You may print or download extracts for your own personal, non-commercial use.

11. Third-party links and services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or rely on third-party services (for example payment processing, delivery and analytics). We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of those third parties.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

Except where expressly stated in these Terms, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShopPetLane shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or any product purchased through it. Our total aggregate liability in respect of any order shall not exceed the amount you actually paid for that order.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShopPetLane and its officers, employees and agents from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

15. Force majeure

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including carrier strikes, customs delays, natural disasters, epidemics, war or failures of public infrastructure.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page at the time of your order, and the “Last updated” date above will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at ShopPetLane’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute arises, we ask that you contact us first at [email protected] so that we can try to resolve it informally and in good faith. If we cannot resolve it within 30 days, either party may pursue its remedies before the competent courts.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
